Facilities

With over 1,304 acres between the two facilities, Woodford provides the best of both worlds for every horse. In Ocala, a state of the art race track and one of the only 1.5-mile European turf gallops in the nation. This unique and well-maintained track allows young horses to relax and take part in group training, as well as aid in the recovery process after surgery. Drawing from the staff's experience at other farms, the Kentucky facility has both small paddocks, to keep foals safe and near their mothers, along with large fields that allow yearlings to engage with each other in a safe environment.

“Everything is about safety, from gate-latches, to where cars are parked.”
-Lamar Evers, Property Manager

Stables

With 14 barns and 11 homes on the Ocala property alone, the 20 miles of asphalt roads allow easy access to everything at the facility.

Paddocks

With more than 1,300 acres of land between the two facilities and over 100 miles of maintained fences, our horses have plenty of space in and out of their stalls.

Feed

Each horse's diet is closely monitored and fed based on their individual needs. High quality hay and specially mixed grain is a top priority at Woodford.
